Just Start

Visualization is a great tool. Being conscious of your thoughts is important. Being aware of your intentions is crucial. Having a good solid plan can set you ahead. But all of that will get you nowhere without one key step. Actually taking that first step!

Yes, you can visualize in extreme detail the things you want to bring about. Visualizing what it will feel like emotionally to have it. Imagining what it will feel like to touch and hold. Describing to yourself every scent that will be there when you have what you want. Even what it would taste like. What will everything look like when you’re right in the middle of having the things you desire? Yes you need to be doing all of this and frequently. But it will never come about if visualizing is all you do.

What does visualizing do? First it puts that desire out into the universe. Second, when done consistently, it plants that visual into your subconscious, and the deeper something is planted into your subconscious you’re more likely to attract opportunities that you can potentially capitalize on. As we’ve touched on previous articles here in Deeper Thoughts, your subconscious covertly controls your actions. But you have to be taking action toward those goals. Otherwise you’re just sitting on your couch meditating all day, while any chance for opportunity flies around you beyond your reach.

Fully understanding your intention is important as well. Are these goals you’re after of your own passions and desires, or do they stem from outside influences? Do you want to become a doctor because health is important to you and you want to help people live healthy lives, or do you come from a family with 3 generations of doctors and your parents are pressuring you to go into the family business? But your intentions won’t mean anything if you never start taking actions toward those goals.

Getting your mind right is also important. Getting rid of those limiting beliefs and your resistance to those goals that are embedded in your subconscious. Doing all that partswork is excellent for your mental/emotional health and growth, but once again, clearing out those blockages won’t help you reach those goals unless you start taking action.

To achieve any major goal or dream you need a good plan. Many people get stuck here. There’s a major difference between having a good plan that you can use versus obsessing over every little detail to make sure every little thing is perfect followed by constantly going over those details over and over to keep checking to make sure it will work. This constant planning is the analysis paralysis you hear people talking about. A fool with no plan who actually starts taking action will get farther than the intellect who consistently plans and never acts on those plans.

It’s good to be prepared before going after the things you want in this life. In fact, it’s advisable. It’s good to have that goal firmly cemented in your mind’s eye. It’s great to be confident you’re doing it for you and no one else. It’s important to get your mind right with partswork to clear out as many resistances you have so you’re not sabotaging yourself. And it’s great to have that solid plan so you know what moves you need to make. But it’s all for naught if you don’t take any action.

Keep in mind, nothing is ever going to be perfect. Waiting for conditions to be perfect will have you waiting until the day you die. What’s important is you start. Once you start taking action then those pieces will all begin to fall into place. Start with what you have and better tools and systems will present themselves to you. More opportunities for you to grasp and use will be revealed to you. Getting started and taking action is how the way will fully begin to open up to you. It doesn’t matter how you get started, just as long as you start.

Thank you for reading, and as always I hope you have an enlightening day.
